Tell about an article of clothing you're deeply attached to.
Toots, as I fondly call my son, Manuel, as he likes to be called, is already 12 and is no longer a baby. But there isn't a day that goes by without me missing my baby boy. Every day I wish that I was given more time to be with him during his early years. It often feels like those years were stolen from me!
Anyway, I have given away all his other baby clothes except for these three which I intentionally kept as some sort of souvenir from those sweet baby years. I am deeply attached to them and I do not plan to part with them ever.
I plan to have another baby but I know that my Toots will always enjoy a special part of my heart that nobody else can have....and because of what he and I have been through, we will always have that different kind of bond that I will never have with my future baby.
So sweet! I bet he loves that you've kept them.

ReplyDeleteMy mom also kept a few of my baby clothes. I think it's a really sweet thing to do. When she showed me mine recently, it was a special moment for us. :)
