A Look Back

I have been meaning to write a post about our wedding but it's only now that I have the time to do do so.

As most of you may know by now, Ruel and I got married in Tagaytay City.  It was sort of like a destination wedding  and most of our guests were already in Tagaytay the day before.

My son and I, together with my mom and my dad also went to Tagaytay the day before the wedding. We booked a family suite in the bed and breakfast place where the reception was going to be held.  I chose a big suite because I was expecting that some guests who did not book a place would want to change and freshen up in the suite a few hours before the wedding.

Anyway, Saturday, December 1 was pretty busy.  We arrived in Tagaytay at around 330.  After checking in and resting for some time in the suite, I had to ask my dad to drive me to the church so I could have my confession.  That was a requirement for the sacrament of matrimony.    We got back to the villa at around 515 pm and my work began.

I had to finalize the wedding program, give a copy to the venue and make a copy for Jessica, my friend who was acting as my coordinator.  I had to finalize the table numbers in our registration list and have the list printed.  I had to ask my son's help in finalizing our audio visiual presentaion, and our music.  I still had to make the box that would hold the tags for our wish tree. To top it all off, I hadn't finished wrapping gifts for those who helped me in the preps and who would still help during the day itself!  I had to do that too!

Here's the finished product.

These are for those who had special participation in our wedding.  Finished wrappintg them at 12 midnight.

These are for our emcees and pianist.

So now you know what I did the night before the wedding.  I didn't have any beauty rest.  I was wrapping and crafting.  Some bride huh!

Well, anyway, I was ready to go to bed at 1:00 am.  Little did I know that I wouldn't be able to sleep yet because of a big surprise!

I will tell you all about that in my next post.
