Many of you know about my frustration to be a theater performer. In one of my posts, I talked about how God has been good to me in allowing me to still do the things I wanted to do even though I was in another kind of profession. God is indeed great every day, all the time! Last year, the president of our university chorale invited me to join them in their three-day concert. Of course, I didn't think twice about it. I would never pass such an opportunity to be in front of an audience. So, I practised with the chorale for like two months. After my classes and some paperworks, I'd join them in the rehearsal room to practise till 8pm every day. I even sacrificed my weekends all for the love of the stage and thanks to my loving and very supportive husband, I'm able to do the things that God gave me a chance to do.
Our three-day concert started on the 4th of March and ended today. All in all, we had five shows which I thoroughly enjoyed doing. Nothing beats the stage lights, their colors, their brightness their heat. Love, love, love the stage!
I was the only teacher who performed. All the rest were college students but it didn't matter. All that mattered was that I could perform. The past three days were truly wonderful!
I love this! I used to do drama clubs and things like that and did a few productions, plus I was in a choir. Your post reminded me of that!
ReplyDeleteHi Molly! Im so glad to find someone who understands. Stage... For me it's the perfect stress reliever. I just tend to forget everything when Im rehearsing. My most memorable performance as of yet was when we did the musical play, Brigadoon a couple of years back. I heard thru the grapevine that we'll have another major production next school year so I'm so looking forward to that.
