It's been quite some time since my last post. My absence here isn't really due to inactivity in my life but due to the fact that I am still trying to finish my backlog from the previous school year.
It's really mind boggling for me, knowing that I do not rest during my breaks yet I still have a lot of work left undone! Right after one class, I go to the faculty room at once to check papers or books, and record them. Whatever time I have left is used for lesson planning which leads me to a question I'd like to ask other teachers out there. How long does it take you to write your lesson plan? My co-teachers and I need at least four hours to write a decent lesson plan. Our lesson plan format is quite complicated. It takes me an hour just to get past the first page!
So anyway, today was card distribution day and I was so surprised to read the announcement. Opening of classes is on June 4, 2014!!! That's barely two months from now....and it doesn't mean that we'll be asked to report only on the fourth. Chances are we'd be in school in the middle of May!!! Waaah!!!
I'm so in need of a vacation. I just want to get away from all the stress and not think for a few days. I hope I can do that this summer. Everyone on facebook seems to be going somewhere. Sigh!
I went back to the doctor yesterday and I was advised to take 15 more tablets of Duphaston. Pregnancy test will be on the 15th.
It's a warm night and I want something sweet and cold. You know what will make me happy?
A glass of this!

I've never thought I'd have to resort to fertility treatments. I already have a fourteen-year-old boy and fourteen tears ago I didn't have difficulty conceiving. Today, almost one and a half years after my second wedding, I'm yet to conceive my second baby and I have now resorted to fertility treatments. Two days ago I had an ultrasound after taking clomephene for five days. The follicles in my right ovary were small but thank God for a dominant follicle in my left ovary. My doctor injected me with pregnyl to release the egg and said we should try conceiving within the next four days.
I started spotting yesterday morning... it was very light bleeding which caused me to go back to the doctor today. I was given another prescription for progesterone and the doctor said I should already start with my Duphaston today.
I have a good feeling about this cycle but still, all this waiting is causing me a lot of anxiety. I'm not getting any younger and my son needs a sister. I feel pressured, helpless because I don't have control over this. Only God has. Please keep me in your prayers.

no time to think of a title for this post
Another batch of students has graduated.
I'm filled with nostalgia because the high school graduates were my kids for four years before they went to high school and the grade school graduates have also been my kids for four years.
Many of them wrote me letters and gave me a copy of their graduation photo. Their letters were sweet and touching, just like this one below.
This girl has been close to me since she was four years old.
with my budding writers
with fellow teachers and our principal
How can a teacher let go of children she has treated like her own for many years?
I guess I can say they will always be a part of me and I, them....and that's the beauty of being a teacher. Your influence knows no boundaries, no limits, no time.

Papers, Papers, Papers
I have been gone for a week or so....
I have been quite busy with the school year nearing its end.
I have been busy with theme papers, workbooks and examination papers not to mention editing articles for the our grade school magazine and checking the graduation speeches which means restructuring sentences, reconstructing paragraphs, expounding ideas, finding more suitable words, etc. etc.
The school year will be over on Monday when the grade 6 students finally graduate. I'll have two more weeks of school after that, to finish everything I need to finish for the year. Hopefully, after that, I'll be able to post more regularly and also be able to read my favorite blogs.
