I recently read and commented to an article which was shared on Facebook. My comment was not malicious at all and I didn't say any negative thing about the president or his administration. I just said that economic growth was useless if there were still a lot of people who were hungry, who cannot afford decent housing, basic healthcare and education. Imagine my disbelief when people started replying to my comment saying I was a lazy person who didn't do anything but complain. Some of them called me names and one even said it was hard for a teacher like me to understand the basics of economics. Everything was enough to cause my blood to go up to my face.
I cannot understand how some people can be so mean, or how they can just judge someone so easily without even meeting the person face to face or without knowing anything about the person except for one innocent comment.
I continue to get notifications on fb and I'm guessing they're still about the comment I made. But I have decided to ignore the notifications for the good of my health and of my baby's.
I have learned my lesson. I will never post comments on articles shared on FB ever again.

Happy Update
Happy 2015!
I have been away for a long time. Work and family gatherings have kept me busy since December.
If you're wondering what happened while I was away, let me give you some idea.
And of course, there was Christmas!
All my wrapped gifts pale in comparison to the non-material gifts I received like the safety and health of my family and all the people I love...and of course, to God's surprise gift....
I had a positive pregnancy test on the 13th of December and although I was itching to tell all of you, I decided to wait till I saw a heartbeat. By the grace of God, my January 4 ultrasound showed a strong heartbeat of 145 per minute! God is great and He has always been good to me although I don't often deserve His goodness and generosity.
I am anxious, worried and a bit scared. But overall, I am happy and I trust that God will allow me to safely deliver a normal, strong and healthy baby. I've been praying for a girl and I am claiming that. I hope that God will continue to bless me and my husband with good health and everything I need to provide a happy, comfortable life to my children, to raise them into loving Christians and faithful Catholics and to give them a good education and a bright future. May God allow us to see them grow up to be decent and successful people, happy in their chosen vocation and satisfied with their careers.
I pray for a happy, safe, healthy and prosperous year for all of us! May God bless us all!

We visited my favorite place. For most Filipinos who long for cold weather, Tagaytay is the best place near Manila to visit in December.
Look at the silvery lake! Isn't it pretty? It doesn't always look silvery though. Sometimes the lake looks milky white to me. No matter what it looks like this place always amazes me. No matter how many times I have been there, it always feels like my first time!
We went there to celebrate our second wedding anniversary.
A week after that was the 2nd birthday celebration of my nephew, Emilio.
On the same day, my son had his violin recital.
Because Tagaytay's cold climate was too hard to resist, we went back there to celebrate the wedding anniversary of our parents on the 20th of December.
Dinner was followed by hot chocolate and pastries at the Taal Vista Hotel.
I totally regretted the fact that I only brought a shawl with me and I bet my dad also regretted wearing short pants. :)

Vigelante in Training
I've always had a tendency to be addicted to television series.
When I was in high school I got addicted to MacGyver. I could never go out Saturday night because I didn't want to miss an episode. If I did go out, I'd make sure that I was home on time for the show.
When I was in college, it was Homefront. They showed season 2 at twelve midnight so my sister and I used to sleep early, then set our alarm at 12 so we could wake up and watch the show.
When I was already working, it was Felicity. My sister was lucky to eat at Dean & Deluca in New York City. I recently saw a Dean & Deluca soon-to-open shop nearby and I promised myself I'd go there once it opens.
Seven years ago, it was Smallville. I'd go on marathons and look for youtube fan-made videos of Lana and Clark.
Just recently, I got addicted to Arrow because of Felicity. The first time Felicity appeared in the show, I got a feeling she would be perfect for Oliver and all her silly mumblings about Oliver, and being his girl, are just too cute for me that I can't help but to follow the show and see what's in store for the two of them. So, I'm usually searching for fan-made videos again, this time, OLICITY videos. :)
Last weekend, I tried something I would never have tried had I not been a fan of Olicity.
It was so exhausting because of the bow's weight but I had a lot of fun playing with my Hunny Bed. We agreed that it wasn't the last time. We'd be back with my son, Toots, who has an addiction to superheroes.
We had dinner afterwards in a nearby mall. The decors were so pretty, I couldn't resist the photo opportunity.
Let's all enjoy the holidays!!!

Counting
It's the season to be merry!
There's only :
15 days before our second wedding anniversary.
26 days before my nephew's second birthday celebration.
33 days before my parents' forty-third wedding anniversary.
38 days before Christmas.
I'm not that excited about New Year's Day because everything goes back to normal after it and I'll have to wait another year for the merriest time of the year.
So I'll just enjoy every minute of the holiday season while it lasts!
